I am officially a week into my internship at the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Things are happening here that would never happen to me anywhere else. Because I have my rabies vaccination, I was placed in charge of two baby bobcats, Demon and Star. I fed them, cleaned them, changed their bedding, anything involving them I did. They got transferred to a different facility where an adult female bobcat can take care of them. I feed baby possums and squirrels, I helped force feed a red tail hawk, a nighthawk fledgling perches on my hand, a Kestrel perched on my head. I can pet an adult bobcat male and he purrs for me, there's a fox
